How your information is handled.

Who's behind this site

Savvy Getawayss is a dba of Shae Evans, an independent travel advisor based in Texas operating under the host agency Outside Agents (a brand of A.S.A.P. Cruises, Incorporated). For the purposes of this policy, "we," "us," and "I" all refer to Shae.

The short version

We collect the information you give through the trip-planning form so we can plan and book your trip. We collect a small amount of information through reviews and blog comments so the site can display them. We do not sell your personal information, we do not run ads against it, and we do not share it with anyone except the travel suppliers and the host agency needed to confirm your bookings.

What gets collected

From the trip-planning form

Name, email, phone number, date of birth (if you provide one), travel dates, destination preferences, departure airport, airline preference, cruise line preference, budget, experience preferences, and any celebration details you choose to share. The form posts directly to a Google Form; responses are stored in a Google Sheet that only Shae can access.

From reviews and blog comments

Display name (or "Anonymous"), city if you provide one, your review or comment text, an optional star rating, the post slug (for comments), the date and time of submission, a one-way hash of your IP address combined with the day (used solely to enforce a per-IP submission rate limit), and your browser's user-agent string. We do not store raw IP addresses. We do not require an account.

From the security challenge

Submitting a review or comment runs you through Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible CAPTCHA that helps prevent bot spam. Cloudflare processes a small amount of behavioral data to decide whether you're human. We do not receive Cloudflare's underlying data; we only see whether the verification succeeded. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

From the site itself

The site is hosted by Cloudflare Pages, which logs basic request information (timestamps, status codes, request paths, country) for security and reliability purposes. The site does not run third-party advertising trackers and does not load Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar marketing tools.

What it gets used for

Trip-planning information is used to build your itinerary, communicate with you about your trip, and pass the necessary details to the travel suppliers needed to confirm your bookings - resorts, airlines, cruise lines, insurance providers, and Outside Agents.

Reviews and comments are displayed publicly on the site. The email field on the comments form is never displayed and is used only if Shae needs to reply to you privately.

We will email or text you about your trip and may, with your permission, occasionally share new destination ideas. We do not sell your contact details to third parties for marketing purposes.

Who else sees it

Your information is shared only with the parties required to deliver your trip: the travel suppliers above, Outside Agents (as the host agency of record), and the payment processor when applicable. None of these parties are authorized to use your information for their own marketing without your consent.

How long it is kept

Trip records are kept for as long as needed to service your bookings, plus any period required by the IRS or by Outside Agents for accounting and consumer-protection reasons (typically up to seven years). Reviews and comments are kept indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them or we hide them under our content policy. You can ask us to delete personal records that are not required by law to retain.

Cookies and tracking

The site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile may set cookies on the review and comment forms to remember a successful verification. The site does not run third-party advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, or behavior-analytics scripts.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted (subject to legal retention requirements) by emailing email. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within a few business days.

For California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have the right to (1) know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and retain; (2) request deletion of personal information; (3) request correction of inaccurate personal information; (4) opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and (5) be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA. The categories of personal information we collect are listed under "What gets collected" above; the purposes for which we use them are listed under "What it gets used for." To exercise any of these rights, email email with the subject "CCPA request." We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children

This site is intended for adults booking travel. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If a minor's details are included on a booking (a family trip), they are collected and used only to confirm that booking.
